Why does anyone hire a lawyer? Details.
Most clients are confident in their ability to handle the day to day operation of their life. It is when the daily operations seem to require 30 hours out of the 24 available that clients start looking for help. Most do not desire a lawyer to tell them "yes you can" or "no you cannot' -- that does not help. Watching the details of the project so the client can continue to focus on the larger picture does help. When a project is complete and the client is confident the details were covered is when I have a client for life.
